How to Verify Your Spotify Artist Profile

Spotify Artist Verification on verses.lol proves you own a Spotify artist profile. Once verified, you'll display a green verified badge on your profile, your listings, in chat, in the artist directory, and on the card the Discord bot posts for /profile. Your monthly listener count shows anywhere the site presents you — the directory, listings, chat. Showing it on your own profile page — and on that Discord card — is the Premium part. The switch for it in Settings governs your profile page; that Discord card shows the count either way.

Prerequisites

  • A verses.lol account
  • Access to Spotify for Artists for your artist profile, to edit your bio or Artist Picks

Step-by-Step Guide

Submit Your Spotify Artist URL

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Scroll to the Spotify Artist Verification section
  3. Paste your Spotify artist URL (e.g., https://open.spotify.com/artist/...)
  4. Enter your artist name
  5. Click “Submit for Verification”

Copy Your Verification Code

Right after you submit, we generate a one-time code that looks like VERSES-AB12CD. It's shown on the Settings page in a copyable box — click it to copy.

Add the Code to Your Spotify Profile

Prove you control the artist profile by placing the code somewhere public. Either option works:

Option A — Artist bio

  1. Go to artists.spotify.com and sign in
  2. Edit your bio
  3. Paste the code anywhere in the bio text and save

Option B — Playlist Artist Pick

  1. Create a playlist titled exactly with your code (e.g. “VERSES-AB12CD”)
  2. In Spotify for Artists, add it as an Artist Pick on your profile
Tip: Only one option is needed. The bio is usually faster — no playlist to create or manage.

What Happens Next

We check automatically for the code — no admin review needed. Verification usually lands within a day, sometimes faster.

Once approved, you'll see the green “Verified Artist” badge on your profile, listings, and in chat. You can remove the code from your bio or playlist title at that point — it's no longer needed.

Troubleshooting

It's been a day and I'm still not verified

Double-check the code is still visible on your public artist page — either in the bio text or as the exact title of a pinned Artist Pick playlist. If it looks right and still hasn't gone through, ask in the Discord server or email support@verses.lol.

I don't have access to Spotify for Artists

You need to claim your artist profile through Spotify for Artists (artists.spotify.com). If you're a new artist, you may need to request access.

My verification was rejected

Check the rejection reason shown on the Settings page. Fix the issue and submit a new request.

Can I request a new code?

Yes — submitting a new verification request generates a fresh code.
