Account & Settings

• Account — your email, your password, and everyone you've blocked.
• Public Profile — identity, templates, appearance, effects, audio, social links, layout, badges, and SEO.
• Integrations — connect Discord and Spotify, and request Spotify verification.
• Notifications — which emails we send you, plus sound and alert preferences.

All of these live under Notifications, and every one of them is on by default.

• Unread messages — one email if a message sits unread for 30 minutes, grouped rather than one per message. Only for people you've accepted; message requests stay in-app.
• Weekly recap — Mondays, how many people viewed your profile and repped you. Not sent at all on a week where neither happened.
• Listings coming off the board — a heads-up before a collab listing stops showing, and a note on the day it does.
• Trial reminders — three at most, ever: when it starts, the day before it ends, and once it has.

Two kinds of email have no switch, on purpose: payment receipts and subscription changes, and any warning that files in your Vault are scheduled for deletion. Those are records of your money and your music — a receipt you can turn off is a receipt that fails the one time you need it, and we won't delete your tracks without telling you.

Both live under Account.

• Email — enter the new address and we send a confirmation link to bothyour old address and your new one. Open the link in each; nothing changes until both are confirmed. That is deliberate — it means losing access to one inbox can't move your account out from under you. You stay signed in throughout.
• Password— enter your current one and the new one. If you don't know the current one, or you signed up with Discord and never set a password, use Email a reset link instead.

Under Public Profile you can shape almost every part of your page:

• Identity — display name, bio, location, your role, genres, skills, and an animated title. Role, genres and skills are the same ones onboarding asked for, so changing them here changes them everywhere.
• Show tags on profile — beside the genre field. Off hides the chips on your profile page and on your card in the artist directory. It does not remove the tags: you still match the directory's genre filter, you still turn up in a genre search, and you are still counted beside that genre in the filter list. Hiding a tag and deleting a tag are different things, and only one of them costs you traffic.
• Templates — whole-profile looks you can apply in one click, each previewed on your own profile.
• Appearance — avatar shape, background (color, gradient, or image), accent colors, and the verses.lol watermark.
• Effects — username effects, background effects, cursor styles, and post-processing.
• Audio — attach tracks that play on your profile, with a visualizer.
• Socials — your links, their order, and how each one looks. See below.
• Layout — which sections appear and in what order, and whether the card is portrait or landscape. Landscape is two columns; on a phone there is no room for two, so it stacks into one and keeps your order. The phone preview in Settings shows exactly that.

Those visibility switches shape your profile page — except the tag switch above, which also covers your artist-directory card, because both are drawings of the same profile. The card the Discord bot posts for /profile is something else: a lookup of public platform activity, so it shows your badges, live listings, genres and join date whatever you set here.

Everything about the link row lives under Public Profile → Socials: the platform fields, your custom links, and how the row is displayed.

• Platforms — Discord, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, YouTube, and a website field. Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and YouTube Music take an @handle or a URL; Spotify and Apple Music have no handle-based address, so those two need the full link.
• Order — drag a link by its handle. Works with a mouse, with a finger (press and hold for a moment, so a swipe still scrolls the page), and from the keyboard (Tab to a handle, Space to pick up, arrows to move, Space to drop).
• Labels — Show labelssets the default for every link, and each row can disagree with it. That is how you run icon-only socials while a presave link still reads “Presave”.
• Featured — the star marks one link to stand out. It fills with your accent colour, glows, and sits a little larger than the rest. One at a time; starring another moves it.
• Custom links — 3 on free, 8 on Premium, and the trial gets 8 too.

Hover any artist's display name — or tap it on a phone — and their UID appears: which number account they were. It is set once when the account is created and never changes, so an early number stays an early number.

Under Audio, turn the visualizer on and choose where it draws — Player, Avatar, or Both. In the player it can be a waveform, frequency bars, or a circle. Around the avatar it's always a ring, and it traces your avatar's shape: a circle around a round avatar, a rounded square around a square one.

The ring sits outside anything else your avatar is wearing. With a frame equipped it moves out past the frame art rather than over it, and the space around your avatar grows to match, so nothing overlaps your title, badges or name.

The visualizer is a Premium feature, and it's included in the trial.

A template sets colour, type, background, containers and effects together. Every one is previewed on your own profile — your avatar, your name, your links — so you can see the result before you apply it. Tap a card for the full-size preview.

Templates never touch your links, your music or your section order. Applying one loads it into the editor; it goes live when you save.

You can save your current look as a template too — 2 slots on free, 5on Premium. When they're full you can replace one.

Badges sit under your avatar and in the badges card on your profile. Some are earned automatically and some are handed out by staff. You can hide any of them from Public Profile → Badges — hiding one never removes it. That controls your profile page; the card the Discord bot posts for /profile shows your badges either way.

• Beta Access — every account created while verses.lol is in beta. Nothing to do; it appears on its own shortly after you sign up.
• Founding Member — awarded by hand. It is not something you can qualify for.
• REK Member — connect Discord in Settings and be in the REK server. It appears within about fifteen minutes of joining, and it comes off again if you leave the server or disconnect Discord.
• Trusted, Collaborator and Curator — earned from ratings received, signed contracts, and tracks kept in the Vault.

Your profile and your share links carry a small verses.lol mark in the corner. On Premium you can turn it off from Public Profile → Appearance → Watermark. The trial doesn't include it.

Connect Discordto put the live Discord card on your profile — status, what you're playing, what you're listening to. It only works while you're in our Discord server, because that is the only place we can read it from; the directory's online dot is separate and needs none of this. Connecting also picks up the Verified Artist role and the REK Member badge if you're in the REK server. Connect Spotify to display your monthly listeners and a verified badge.
