Premium & Billing

One paid plan. $5.99 a month, or $46.99 a year — 35% cheaper. There is no Premium+ and no lifetime tier.

Creator codes

Some artists have a discount link — verses.lol/go/followed by their code. Open it and the discount is applied before you pay: you'll see it named above the price, with the old price struck through. There's no box to type it into.

  • Half off your first payment — your first month on the monthly plan, your first year on the yearly one. It renews at the normal price after that.
  • First subscription only.If you've paid for Premium before, the code won't apply and checkout goes through at the normal price rather than failing. The upgrade page says so, and shows the normal price, before you pay — you won't find out at the invoice.
  • The link lasts a week once you open it. Open it again to reset that.

A code you typed by hand won't do anything

The link is what applies it — verses.lol/go/CODE, any capitalisation. If you followed one and the page says the code isn't valid, it has been retired; ask whoever shared it.

Your currency

Prices on this page are in US dollars. If you're somewhere we support a local currency, checkout shows that instead — 15 currencies including Thai baht, euro, pound, yen, rupee, real and peso. It's a fixed local price we set, not a live conversion, so there's no currency-conversion fee added on top and the amount doesn't move with the exchange rate.

You'll always see the exact amount before you pay. If your country isn't one we price in, you're charged in US dollars and your bank applies its own rate. A subscription keeps the currency it started in.

The trial

Every new account starts on a 3-day trial the moment you sign up. You don't ask for it and you don't enter a card. It runs once per account — there's no way to start a second one.

The trial gives you the full profile experience and the Vault's artist tools. It does not give you the paid-only perks: a custom domain, the higher listing cap, the larger uploads, the Premium badge, and the Vault's storage limits all check paid status, so a trial gets the Free numbers on those.

When it ends nothing is deleted. Your account drops to Free with everything you made still there — see The Vault for what that means for your tracks.

Paying, and stopping

  • Subscribe — the upgrade page sends you to Stripe. Monthly or yearly, same features either way.
  • Manage billing — card, invoices and cancellation all live in the Stripe portal, reached from the same page.
  • Cancel — takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for. You keep Premium until then, not until the click.

Cancelling doesn't touch your profile

Your customizations and layout stay exactly as they are. Premium settings you already applied keep rendering — you simply can't change them any more, and the controls lock. Subscribe again and they unlock in the state you left them.

The Vault is the one exception, and only above the free limit

Premium Vault storage is unlimited, so a vault can hold far more than the free 250MB. If yours does when a subscription ends, uploads stop immediately and the overflow is eventually removed — but not for 60 days, and then only after a further 14 days in which every track still plays and every master still downloads. We email you at each stage. Resubscribing, or getting back under the limit yourself, cancels it outright. The Vault has the exact sequence. A vault that already fits inside the free limits is never touched at all.

One-off purchases

These aren't part of Premium. Anyone can buy either without a subscription:

  • Promote a listing $1.99 for 24 hours at the top of the board. Premium members get one every calendar month at no cost.
  • Change your username $2.99. Claiming your first one at signup costs nothing; changing an established handle is the purchase.

Receipts and purchase history

Every payment sends you an email from us confirming what you bought, for how much, and — for Premium — when it renews. Stripe sends its own card receipt separately; ours is the one that says what it unlocked.

Settings → Billing lists your purchases with the amount in the currency you were actually charged. A line reads Pending only while a checkout is still open — walk away from Stripe without paying and it settles to Expired rather than sitting there. Card statements, invoices and refunds live in the Stripe portal.

Two different gates

Some things unlock on entitlement — an active subscription or an active trial. Everything on your profile page, the Vault's loudness check and audition desk, teaser links and snippet styles work this way. Others check paid status, which a trial doesn't satisfy: anything that costs us storage, grants marketplace power, or confers status.

That's the whole of the difference between a trial and a subscription. It's also why a trial vault holds the Free number of tracks while the tools on the track page are all unlocked.

Is there a refund?

Cancel and you keep access to the end of the period you've paid for. Ask in Discord if something went wrong with a charge.

Can I switch monthly to yearly?

Yes, through the billing portal. Stripe prorates the change.

Do I lose my tracks if I stop paying?

Not if your Vault fits inside the Free limits — you keep everything and just can't add past them. If it holds more than Free allows, you get 60 days with nothing touched, then 14 more with the overflow scheduled but still playable and downloadable, before anything is deleted — and downloading your masters works the whole time. Resubscribing or getting back under the limit cancels it.

Why is my profile still showing premium effects after cancelling?

Because settings you already saved keep working — cancelling locks the controls, it doesn't strip the page. Change a premium setting to something free and you won't be able to change it back.
