Understanding the Rating System

Ratings are how the community vouches for each other. They're simple by design: a star is a signal that you've had a good experience with someone.

How it works

You can give another artist a star to vouch for them.
Each person can give someone one star — it counts once, no matter how many times you work together.
An artist's total is the number of stars they've received, shown on their profile, listings, in chat, and on the card the Discord bot posts for /profile.
You can't rate yourself.
The person finds out. Getting repped puts a notification in their bell, the same as a message does.

Your weekly recap

On Mondays we email you how many people viewed your profile and how many repped you over the past week. If neither happened, no email is sent — the recap only turns up when there's something in it.

Views are counted as people, not hits, and your own visits to your profile don't count.
Turn it off any time under Settings → Notifications.

What a rating means

A star isn't a five-point score — it's a vouch. A high total means many different artists have chosen to back this person, which is a strong signal of a trustworthy collaborator.

Give stars honestly

Only vouch for people you've genuinely worked with or trust. Ratings carry weight because the community keeps them meaningful — a star is a lasting vouch, so give it deliberately.
