Release Pages
A release page is the link you put in your bio. One page for a song, EP or album that is already out, with a button for every platform it is on. It is in beta — everything here works, and it will keep gaining features and fixes.
What it is
Your listeners are split across Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and everywhere else, and you only get one link in an Instagram bio. A release page is that one link: the visitor picks their own platform and goes straight there.
It lives at a URL built from your username:
verses.lol/yourname/song-name
It takes its colours and font from your profile automatically, so it looks like yours before you touch a single control. Open a page and you can give it its own colours, gradient, background image or one of the same animated effects your profile uses — leave those alone and the page keeps following your profile, so restyling your profile later restyles every release with it.
Making one
Go to Tools → Release pages → New page. There are two ways in, and neither is a fallback:
- Search — type the song name, pick it from the list. We fill in the artwork, the release date and the platforms we can match exactly.
- Paste a link — drop in a SoundCloud, Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music or YouTube URL and we read the details off it.
Not on Spotify?
If your music is not on Spotify, use paste. Search only reaches Spotify's catalogue, and plenty of music here never goes near it — pasting works just as well and you can add every other platform by hand.
Which platforms fill in automatically
Spotify and Deezer are matched exactly, using the recording's ISRC — the code that identifies a specific recording across every service.
Apple Music is matched on artist and title instead, because there is no free way to look it up by ISRC. It is marked Check in the editor for that reason — open it once before you publishand make sure it is your song and not somebody else's with the same name.
Everything else — YouTube, Tidal, Amazon Music, Audiomack, Pandora — you paste in. You can also add any link at all: merch, tickets, a video, your website.
Credits
Add the people who worked on the record — produced by, mixed by, featuring, and so on. Type a plain name, or type @theirusername to link their verses.lol profile.
Tagging someone with an @ does two things:
- Their name on your page becomes a link to their profile, straight away.
- They get asked whether to show the release on their profile. It appears there only if they accept.
Credits waiting on you show up under Tools → Release pages. You can accept or decline each one.
Crediting people who aren't here yet
Crediting someone who is not on verses.lol is fine — type their name as plain text. It shows on the page like any other credit.
Stats
Every release page counts its views and which platform buttons people press. Premium shows you the breakdown.
Counting starts the day the page is created, on every plan — so if you upgrade later, the history is already there waiting rather than starting from zero.
Free and Premium
- Free — 1 release page, fully working, with the verses.lol mark on it.
- Premium — as many as you like, the stats breakdown, your own domain, and no watermark.
Your pages never go offline
Your pages never go offline.If a Premium subscription lapses, every page you already made keeps working — those links are in other people's bios and posts, and we are not going to break them. What pauses is making new ones and editing the extras.
Frequently asked
Can I change the link after I have shared it?
You can, but the old link stops working immediately and anyone who already shared it — a blog, a playlist, a fan — will hit a dead page. Pick the link name carefully the first time. The same applies if you change your username, since the release URL is built from it.
Can I make a page for a song that is not mine?
Pages by artists who have not completed Spotify verification carry a 'page by @username' line, so it is always clear who made it. Making pages for other people's music to mislead listeners will get the page removed and the account actioned.
Does it work for EPs and albums?
Yes. Pick EP or Album and the tracklist is shown under the cover. The platform buttons point at the release as a whole — individual tracks do not get their own links yet.
What about pre-saves for unreleased music?
Release pages are for music that is already out. Pre-save is a different thing and is not available yet.
Why is one of my platforms missing?
It probably has not indexed the release yet, or it is one we cannot search automatically. Paste the link in yourself — that always works, and it is what the artist-typed rows are for.
