Getting Started on verses.lol

Sign up with your email and a password, then confirm your email through the link we send you. Once confirmed, you'll sign in and land on your dashboard.

Your username is your profile address — verses.lol/@yourname. During onboarding you'll pick one.

• 5 to 25 characters
• Letters, numbers, and underscores only
• Must be unique — some names are reserved
• Changing it later is a one-off purchase, so pick one you'll keep

Right after the username, onboarding asks what you do — artist, producer, vocalist, songwriter, engineer, visuals, manager, or listener — plus your genres and what you bring. All three are optional and every screen has a “do this later” link.

• Pick up to 3 roles. Most people here do more than one thing, and saying so is better than picking the closest one
• Up to 5 genres and 8 skills. If what you do isn't on the list, the + at the end of the chips lets you type your own
• Genres are what people filter by in the Artist Directory, so an empty list means fewer people find you
• Your roles decide the order of the guided tour — a producer and a vocalist get shown different things first, and picking both blends the two
• All of it is editable later under Settings → Public Profile → Identity, or from the “Get set up” card on your dashboard

At the end of onboarding you can take a walkthrough that spotlights the real pages — your profile settings, the Vault, the boards, your inbox. Each step also says where the thing lives, so you can find it again without the tour. It is skippable at every step, the skip sticks across devices, and you can replay it any time from the “Get set up” card on the dashboard.

If you never reached that screen, the tour starts itself the first time you open your dashboard — once, and only once. Closing it counts as an answer, so it won't come back on another device.

Your dashboard keeps a short checklist of the things worth doing first. Every step spells out what it wants — “Set your look” needs an avatar and a display name you chose, “Make the profile yours” needs any one of an accent color, a background or a profile song — and each requirement ticks on its own as you go.

• It sits minimized as a one-line bar after your first visit; the arrow opens it
• Open or closed is remembered on your account, so it's the same on your phone
• “Turn off” removes it permanently — it does not come back
• It stops showing on its own once everything is done, or 30 days after you sign up

Your profile is your home base. Add a display name, bio, genres, and links, then make it yours with colors, backgrounds, effects, and audio. See Account & Settings for the full walkthrough.

Drop a file on the Vaultpage and it becomes a track with a waveform, a version history and a feedback thread. It's private — 5 tracks on Free — and nothing in it is visible until you make a link for it.

There are two, plus a directory of everyone here:

• Collabs — post or browse feature requests, open verses and beats, with optional royalty splits. Start with Collabs & Listings.
• Services — offer or hire professional services like mixing, mastering, and production. See Services Marketplace.
• Artists — everyone on the platform, filterable by genre, verification and who's online. See the Artist Directory.

When you find someone to work with, start a conversation. Messaging is real-time, and you can vouch for people you've worked with using stars. Read Messaging and Ratings to get the etiquette right.

Your dashboard has an invite link — your own profile URL with a code on the end. Send it to producers, engineers and artists you've actually worked with. Anyone who opens it sees your page, and if they make an account we'll show you that they joined from your link.

• It isn't an access code. Sign-up is open to anyone — the link just tells us who sent them.
• There's no reward attached, and nothing changes on your account when someone joins. It is there because a marketplace is only worth as much as who is on it.
• Share it anywhere — a DM, a Discord server, your story. It's a normal link.
